The USB port is becoming more and more of a necessity for charging phones, computers, gathering information, and connecting devices. It seemed like it would only be a matter of time before power outlets integrated the USB port.

The TruePower UCS is one of the first wall outlets to come with a USB port. The TruePower UCS can be installed in any existing wall outlet.
The TruePower UCS is able to charge any USB powered device. This includes the iPhones, PDA, MP3, PSP, mobile phone, MP4 and even digital cameras. The USB ports do not waste power, and only drain power when something is connected to the port.
Although the in-wall USB charger has not yet been released, consumers can expect to pay about $10 once it actually hits the market. It’s expected to be available in early 2010.

One day, 128GB flash drives will be common. We’ll lose em and only say “oops.” Today, you can have one if you don’t mind the size and price of this $400 Corsair. But F me, this thing is fast.
I’ve been happy with a 16GB Patriot Xporter, which Ars mentioned in their 2009 test as one of the fastest. This Corsair is faster. On an informal test transferring 2.7 GB of MP3 files, the Corsair Flash Voyager 128GB was twice as fast in writes and a touch faster in reads.
Note: Since this measures megabytes per second, longer bars = better
I was very casual about this test. I did not shut down all my other apps during it, but I did run multiple trials. And I did not test random access or exceptionally large file sizes. Why didn’t I take testing more seriously? Because I just don’t think you’ll really buy this thing when you can get multiple 32GB drives for $50 or so. This thing is impressive, but all freaks of nature are impressive.
On top of its price and performance, it’s bigger. No, not only in capacity. See?
Yeah, well, it still fits in my pocket. Like a giant pet beetle. The kind that crawled out of skulls and pyramid labyrinth walls in The Mummy Part 5 or whatever.
I’d recommend it only if you have so much money that if you lose one, you’ll merely say “oops” and not cry over it like I would.
128GB is a lot of space
It’s fast
Kind of big for a USB drive, but still doable
Expensive

Intel might be slow on USB 3.0, but Asus ain’t. The Xtreme Design P7P55D-E is apparently the very first USB 3.0 motherboard. It’s an Intel P55-based mobo that uses a third-party USB 3.0 controller for a pair of ports.
It has 10 USB 2.0 orifices too. Personally, I’d just wait for a full USB 3.0 board, where every port’s USB 3.0. Otherwise, you’re just gonna feel cramped and then dumb, when you have to buy another board. If you must have the 3.0 now this slab supports CrossFire and SLI with a pair of PCIe x 16 slots, a pair of Gigabit ethernet ports, and eSATA. Of course, there’s no price or date for this thing yet, which makes it a little less exciting, perhaps. As exciting as gimped USB 3.0 motherboards can get, anyway.
