The Twist Faucet

The Twist Faucet is a unique concept that was created to make people more conscientious of the amount of water they are using.  Designer Harvey Bewley created the faucet.

Most water valves work with a simple turn or a light tap upwards, but the twist faucet works differently.  The twist faucet forces a person to work harder for their water by cranking a knob in and out.  The faucet has an aerator that is fitted to the tap so that water flow is reduced without compromising water pressure.

In a world where the fresh water supply is dwindling and there is a possible threat of water wars in the future, the twist faucet is highly recommended for helping individuals remember how much of a precious resource water truly is.

Each time a person has to crank the handle for their water they are reminded that water shouldn’t be wasted.  The twist faucet also comes with a digital readout that shows a person how much water they have consumed.  The digital readout also keeps track of the water temperature and the temperature can be controlled via touch buttons.  This helps people avoid wasting water in an attempt to getting the temperature right.

In addition to be a great concept with great features, the faucet is also attractive.    The faucet is very chic, and would fit in well in any designer’s bathroom.

The twist faucet is still a concept.  This means it is not available for purchase.  If the twist faucet hits the market place, hopefully there will be a long list of consumers ready to buy the twist faucet.
